Val expresses a sentiment that I think many of us have felt to some degree or other over the years. Except for Jimmy Carter. Oh, and Steven Spielberg, Oliver Stone, and most of the far left.
For my part, I think a nice, hard drive into the solar plexus with the business end of a PR-24 would be a good start. Oh, and bending down to give the old vermin a face-full of OC gas while he gasps and writhes on the ground isn’t obligatory, but absolutely necessary. “Suck on this, fucker.”
NBC has a series of 20-second commercials where some sitcom star or other bleats an inspirational, moralizing screed. One of them is, “Don’t teach your kids to hate.” That’s bullshit. There’s nothing wrong with hating evil.
Some might say “hate” is evil.
What about “free to be, you and me?” What’s wrong with that?
Hate is good. Freedom is good. Freedom to hate is good.
“It’s all right to cry
Crying gets the sad out of you
It’s all right to cry
It might make you feel better
Sad ‘n’ grumpy, down in the dumpy
Snuggly, hugly, mean ‘n’ ugly
Sloppy, slappy, hoppy, happy
Change and change and change”
“A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.”
