Nick Berg and Paul Johnson

Because we’re listed on Google and Yahoo, this blog gets several hits a day from people doing web searches on “Nick Berg beheading video,” “photos Paul Johnson murder Saudi,” “Berg murder photo,” etc.

As the administrator and a poster of this blog, I’m not posting any photos or video clips here that depict either of these men’s deaths, nor will I allow anyone else to do so. We all may discuss the issues involved. We all may agree that what happened to them is appalling. I myself have actually seen the unexpurgated version of Berg’s murder, and it’s about as awful a thing as I’ve watched on video. But we won’t show what happened to satisfy other people’s curiosity.

If you want to see Nick Berg get his head sawed off by a bunch of animals shouting “Allahu Akbar” because you’ve never seen a man die before, let me know; I’ll try to scare up a video of your mother being gang-raped or your son getting stabbed to death and show that instead. Sound mean? Put yourself in the Berg family’s shoes and imagine what it would be like if the death of someone you cared deeply about became an object of curiosity for a bunch of strangers. Grow some fucking decency, if you can. Same goes for Mr. Johnson’s death.

I’m not saying that everyone who wants to see the video(s) is a snuff film fan. I’m just asking that those who do explore the reasons why they have a desire to see someone die.

So, once again, you won’t find the photos here. Go somewhere else.

No I am not a snuff fan but I would like to be able to view the video so that I can try get others to also see it so that maybe the horrors of war can become more real. The First Amendment allows for Freedom of the Press, but when the news media holds back information so that the war can keep going on for their ratings, then it is they who are treading on my rights. The time is now for Americans to wake up and see what is really going on!

  • Somehow, I don’t think that the news media is to blame for the war on terror.

You don’t need to see it, really. How much more real does it have to be? We fight an enemy that seeks to murder or subjugate every single person on the planet that doesn’t belong to their worldview. Watching a victim of their evil die horribly isn’t going to change that.

You don’t have to see a video of some poor guy getting beheaded to know the horrors of war. Reading daily casualty reports should be sufficient. If that doesn’t grab, read “All Quiet on the Western Front.” You don’t get much more horrifying than that. As for “what is really going on,” we know that terrorists are bad people without violent videos. That’s why we need to stop them.
