I don’t know about you, but I was worried about Michelle Obama’s pride in her own country:
So what did Michelle Obama think of the United States before her husband decided he wanted to run the place?
“For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country,” she told a Milwaukee crowd today, “because it feels like hope is making a comeback.”
It’s okay, Michelle. We know that you and your husband’s pride in the U.S. is extremely conditional.
(First in a series assigned to me by Waterglass alumnus Ray.)
The audacity of her comment just stuns me. I guess her husband becoming a successful attorney or a U.S. senator just didn’t do it for her. Only her husband aspiring to becoming the leader of the free world has any chance of putting the smallest amount of pride into that self-righteous bosom. And I thought Hillary was jaded.
Is everything in this country perfect? Of course not and it never will be perfect, but it’s far better than any other place currently on Earth.
What’s the new series about?
You’ll see.
When?
When you’re ready.
Among other things.
I’m ready.
