Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said yesterday that retired generals’ calls for his resignation are rooted in opposition to his push to streamline and restructure the Army.

That makes sense to me. When you are the boss, and you have to change things around, sometimes people get pissed off. Only in this situation, the ones that get pissed off have a huge audience.
Yeah, but in Rumsfeld’s plan of “streamlining and restructuring the Army” he’s talking about replacing Americans who join the Armed Services to defend America by mercenaries from wherever who feel a need to make a fast buck or their own personal agenda. Like when Rummy and the CIA used Osama bin Laden and the Jihadis to defeat the Soviets in Afghanistan. Worked great, for a while… Yeah, the audience is huge and pissed off for good reason.
